Event & Social Photography

Creative Direction: Beyond the Buy Button | The Objective

For major launches and highlighting of the product catalogue, my goal was to break away from traditional "buy this now" marketing. I aimed to create narrative-driven, "paparazzi-style" imagery and creative social content that treats the product as a character within a scene. These photos are designed to build brand culture and spark curiosity, moving beyond the sterile studio environment.

The Workflow: The Hybrid Composite

Unlike traditional photography, these creative assets are often a hybrid of location shooting and studio precision using the Canon R5 with either a 100mm lens or a 35mm lens.

  • Environment Capture: I document products in dynamic, "organic" settings—leveraging natural plus studio light and real-world textures.

  • The Post-Production Pivot: Because the angle of the coin is critical to legibility, I often spend significant time in post-production "re-planting" the product in addition to the regular editing. I utilize the high-fidelity Studio & Macro photos taken earlier to replace or enhance the product in the creative shot.

  • Seamless Integration: This "tedious" retouching process ensures that while the environment feels fun and candid, the product remains perfectly sharp, correctly angled, and visually premium.

The "Paparazzi" Narrative

For the biggest launches, I utilize a "paparazzi" style to capture the raw energy of the Mint. These aren't just photos; they are behind-the-scenes exclusives that show:

  • Human Interaction: The scale of the metal relative to a hand or the sculptor’s tools, adding a human touch to the brand as well.

  • Industrial Authenticity: Capturing the "Story of the Strike" as it happens, providing the community with an insider’s look at high-stakes manufacturing.

The Result

While not every launch requires this level of creative intervention, these "Hero" social assets drive the highest engagement. They bridge the gap between high-security bullion and a relatable lifestyle brand, proving that even a technical industrial product can have a "personality."
