"Holiday Treasures" - Precious Metal Collectibles
The Holiday Treasures series is a collection of precious metal rounds and bars designed to celebrate beloved traditions throughout the year. The initial designs—ranging from Halloween and Christmas to Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, and a Thanksgiving edition—were a collaborative effort between myself and the head designer, where we worked on ideas. My role in the lifecycle of this series included contributing to initial concept development, refining design elements on the bars I worked on, and conducting UX research specifically focused on evolving and retaining our female customer base. Beyond the design phase, I was responsible for the full photography and post-production of all product and social images, ensuring the final presentation was as captivating and festive as the collectibles themselves.
In the sections below, I will be going into depth on the 2024 Halloween and Christmas series, as well as the 2025 Thanksgiving launch. The gallery right above showcases 2025 Holidays that were designed throughout the year. Those photos are product and social photos that I took and edited.
Founders & Feasts
The 2025 Founders & Feasts Thanksgiving addition to this series was a project I personally initiated after identifying a market gap in our seasonal offerings. I took full ownership of the creative direction, presenting ten distinct design concepts and refining them down to a final trio that balances witty, character-driven storytelling with a 'Pop-Art meets vintage Americana' aesthetic. To ensure the highest level of credibility, I conducted field-specific research, consulting with subject matter experts to ensure elements like the flintlock firearm and historical attire were rendered with 100% authenticity.
My creative control extended into the campaign's visual identity, where I functioned as both photographer and set designer. I utilized minimalist color-blocking and a vibrant, high-contrast set to create a modern, editorial look that disrupted the traditionally conservative bullion industry. Despite launching with zero formal marketing budget, this 'punchy' visual strategy and strategic timing drove immediate commercial impact, proving that designs rooted in authentic research and bold composition can dominate organic social channels.
Spooky & Sweet Series
The 2024 Spooky & Sweet series reimagines classic Halloween imagery with a softer touch, drawing inspiration from Impressionist and Expressionist art movements. This approach aimed to broaden the appeal of Halloween collectibles beyond traditional, often frightening, designs, particularly targeting a feminine and more child-friendly audience. Sales data confirmed the success of this strategy, demonstrating strong interest from women, selling 2,000 bars within the first month.
My result is a collection of charming and whimsical 1-ounce 999 silver bars, featuring beloved Halloween motifs like mummies, black cats, scarecrows, and ghosts, rendered in a style that is both spooky and sweet. The photo session, utilizing warm tones and drawing inspiration from autumnal colors, aimed to create a cozy and inviting atmosphere, perfectly complementing the four unique silver bar designs and supporting the overall aesthetic of the Spooky & Sweet series.
Christmas Designs
The 2024 Joyful Winter series reimagines classic holiday imagery through a sophisticated lens, drawing heavy inspiration from European heritage and vintage Christmas aesthetics. My objective was to move beyond standard holiday tropes, creating a collection that felt both nostalgic and high-end. By focusing on a "softer," more whimsical touch, I targeted an audience looking for elegance in collectibles—a strategy that sales data confirmed was particularly successful in capturing interest from the feminine market segment.
While parallel series in the industry often lean into a more traditional or heavy aesthetic, my approach offered a distinct alternative: a collection of charming, 1-ounce .999 silver bars featuring beloved motifs like polar bears and skiing, mischievous cat in tree, and ice skating, rendered in a style that is both festive and refined.
